This is your last minute reminder that the Western Dive Rally is on this coming weekend  (18th to 20th July) in Killala, Co Mayo. Thanks to all of you who have been in contact to give us the heads up on expected numbers and we are looking forward to a great weekend of diving and fun.

All divers are required to register for the weekend on arrival and this can be done between 6 & 8 pm on Friday evening or from 9am on Saturday on Killala pier. Registration fee is € 10 and includes lunch on Saturday at the pier.

Where possible, we ask for visiting clubs to bring boats, and parking and moorings facilities are available.

Grainne Uaile SAC as hosts are running 3 boats for the weekend & spaces are available on a first come first served basis at registration. There is an additional fee of €10 per dive for these spaces.  We would ask that clubs travelling with boats who have additional spaces to let us know at registration so we can accommodate as many divers as possible.
The schedule for the GUSAC boats are as follows

Friday 18th July: 7pm leaving Killala pier – we ask that anyone planning to dive on Friday please let us know in advance

Saturday 29th July: 10am, 2pm & 5pm

Sunday 30th July: Scheduling of Sundays dives will be announced on Saturday

Safety Brief will be given @ 9.30am sharp on Saturday morning so we would ask that all divers and particularly Cox’ns be available for that.

There is a BBQ organised for Saturday night in Gilvarrys Bar and tickets for this will also be available at registration.

The weather gods appear to be playing ball for the weekend with very light winds forecast and just a possibility of showers so here’s hoping you can join us for some great diving.
