Sheephaven SAC were busy over the last weekend with a dive on Saturday morning at Pan Rock, followed on Sunday morning with a snorkel out from PortnaBlagh pier. The divers observed the marine life on the Pan Rock reef, which included Blennies, Goby’s, Dogfish, Lobsters and range of various species of Crabs. In addition to the fish and shell fish life on site there is a variety of algae, seaweeds, anemones and hydroids at the 10 metre to surface depth. The Sunday morning snorkel out from PortnaBlagh was very well attended and took place in good sea conditions that allowed the snorkelers to conduct the full circuit out to the Golf Course point and back in around 40 minutes or so.
