Seaweed Workshop in Galway 21/22nd of April

This is being organised in conjunction with the Irish Seaweed Research
Group in NUIG and will consist of a mix of shore walk, classroom
lecture , seaweed Identification + a couple of dives

Agenda
21 April 2012. Falling Low Tide at Spiddal,
10.30-11am. – Registration and Foreshore walk / sample collection
13.30-14.00: Short talk on seaweeds in Atlantaquarium in Salthill
14.00-16.30: ID of what seaweeds we brought back from the shore
16.30 onwards: Dive opportunity 1, Carraroe. High water is around 18.00,

22nd April
11.00-12.30: Go through any remaining seaweed samples from the shore
and new samples from the dive, ID, herbaria, etc.

13.30-16.30: Dive opportunity 2, Carraroe
