Santa Scuba Dive 2017 – We need your help!

Nov 28 2017 Posted by Office Administraton

The Santa Scuba Dive was started in 2014 and involves going scuba diving in Santa suits, in an attempt to raise money for the fantastic RNLI who dedicate their lives to saving lives at sea. The event has gone from strength each year with last year over 100 Santas entering the water!

The Santa Scuba Dive has raised over €6000 to date and has even had national media coverage last year with pictures in multiple papers.

After the event to keep in the Christmas spirit there is mulled wine, mince pies and other Christmas treats on offer the participants. Alongside this there is also a raffle and spot prizes given out across the day.

There are between 5 and 6 clubs involved each year but it would be great to continue to grow this event and get as many Santa’s in the water as possible!

Currently the event is the only of its kind which brings club from different organisations together (BSAC, CFT PADI etc) to dive and raise money for a good cause.

This year Santa Scuba Dive will take place on Saturday Dec 16th at 12pm. You can also have a look at the Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/santascubadive/) to see more fun from the event over the past four years and further information if you would like to take part.
