The Irish Public Bodies Insurance group, who provide insurance cover for the local authorities and other state bodies, have announced a new funding scheme which aims to support youth and community projects around the country.

The IPB Youth & Community Fund has €1million to give out to groups under six categories:

–          Arts & Culture

–          Elderly

–          Physical Activity & Sport

–          Environment

–          Community Development

–          Youth

The amount of funding on offer is between €2,500 and €15,000, and must represent a minimum of 20% of the overall project cost.  Projects must be completed during 2014.
