Pierre-Yves Cousteau, youngest son of scuba legend Jacques, was in Cork last week at the Our Ocean Wealth Conference. Pierre-Yves is head of the Cousteau Divers organisation and is interested in how we can better manage the conflict between exploiting our seas yet protecting them for future generations. Our Scientific Officer, Tim Butter, was delighted to catch a few minutes with Pierre-Yves to discuss sustainable use of our marine resources and how we, as divers, can contribute.
