Twelve families will compete against each other for the title of Ireland’s Fittest Family 2013 and a cash prize of €15,000.

The challenges that the families will compete in will be adventure based and challenge even the fittest of individuals. We are looking to get the word out to different clubs and organisations across the country. It would be great to get this information circulated within the diving community. Even if members cannot take part themselves, they may know of a family who would be up for the challenge.

The families will be mentored by some of the countries best sporting names including Olympic boxing Champion Kenny Egan, International Rugby coach Eddie O’ Sullivan and Legendary Clare GAA manager Davy Fitz. They will also be taking part in adventure race courses in some of the countries most breathtaking locations. We are including families from all types of sporting disciplines and backgrounds. The entire family do not have to all train in the one sport either.

A team must consist of 4 family members of immediate relation, the minimum age requirement is 14 years but there is no upward age limit, there must be male and female on each team and at least one parent.
