In the lower parking lot at the top of the slipway there is a pathway that leads to a small sandy cove right at the head. You can walk this path and do a shore dive by snorkelling out about 100m to the rock at the head. Depth 10-12m, a good dive for beginners and experienced with plenty of sea life, rocks, weed and gullies. If you have a boat there is a good dive further along the coast to the west or out to sea about 400-500m or so.
