Snorkelling or ‘Snorkel Diving’ is a fun and easy way to view and explore underwater life in its natural environment. It is accessible to anyone regardless of age and does not require expensive or complicated equipment. With over 3,000 miles of coastline around Ireland to discover the opportunities are endless. It’s an introduction to the world of snorkelling in Irish waters. The details are as follows ;
Thursday 4th June – Crystal sports centre
Introduction and lectures 7 – 9pm
Pool session 9 – 10pm
Tuesday 9th June – Crystal sports centre
Lectures 7- 8pm
Pool session 8- 9pm
The above followed by 3 no. open water snorkels, the first starting Tuesday evening 23rd June at Annestown followed by evening snorkels on a Tuesday or a Thursday at Kilfarassy and Garrarus, weather permitting.
Age limit is 16 years
The cost is €90 per person which includes CFT snorkel registration.
Students will require mask, snorkel and fins for pool sessions. Wetsuit, hood and booties required for open water snorkels.
