Roscommon Sub Aqua

Formed in 1985 as the Dolphin Sub Aqua Club, what later became the Roscommon Sub Aqua Club was established when a group of divers decided to form a Sub Aqua/Underwater Search and Recovery Unit to serve the area around Roscommon town. As the club grew and membership increased many more divers trained in search and rescue techniques and the club now boasts a membership of twenty four active divers.

Training

Pool training which takes place on Thursday evenings @ 9pm in Roscommon Leisure Centre;

Lectures which take place before the pool at our club house on Racecourse Road, Roscommon;

Open water training which takes place during the summer months on Thursday evenings at 6pm for diving and snorkelling respectively.

At weekends during the summer the club heads off to places like Inishbofin, Mullach Mór, Co. Sligo, St John’s Point, Co. Donegal, Kilcummin Harbour in Mayo and many others around the coast of Ireland.
