Offaly Sub Aqua Club was formed by a group of divers from the  Offaly Search and Recovery Dive Team.

We are a community organization that promotes the sport of scuba diving and snorkelling in Offaly and surrounds.  We have a dedicated Search and Recovery unit within the club and its members are specially trained for this type of diving.

Our boats are based in Banagher, Co. Offaly, on the banks of the River Shannon. Offaly SAC is an affiliate member of Diving Ireland. Our members are trained and certified to a CMAS international diving training standard.

We provide training for new snorkellers and divers each year. Initial scuba training is a combination of lectures and swimming pool practice to develop skills required to move to open water. First to the river and lakes and then to the sea.
