Established in 1988, Donegal Bay SAC Search & Recovery has flourished due to the unwavering commitment of its dedicated members. Headquartered in Donegal Town, the club serves the South West region of Donegal.

Initially focused on recreational diving, the unit expanded its expertise over time. Club members underwent training with the National Diving Association (now Diving Ireland) to become skilled Search & Recovery Divers.

Prospective members are encouraged to join, with training programs starting in early spring. Before diving into the program, newcomers can experience scuba diving through a Try-A-Dive session in a pool setting, first week in January each year.
