Diver Coxwain
Being part of a club means more than just diving, there are lots of skills involved. One of the most important is that of the Diver Coxwain. As a Diver Coxwain it is your job to bring divers safely to dive sites and safely home. Y The course consists of two and a half days training, one and a half days theory and une day (min.) for practical instruction. On our Nitrox course you will learn all the theory and practicalities regarding using Nitrox.The typical course is undertaken over two days or equivalent. Theory can be covered on the first day and the dives completed on day two. Our Diver First Responder course is designed to teach the diver all aspects of Diving First Aid. The course will be delivered by CFT DFR Instructors. The course trains CFT members to become a Diver First Responder (DFR). Seasearch
Get more out of your diving! Are looking for something extra from your diving, wish you knew about the many animals you observe whilst diving? Then why not take part in a Sea Search observer course where you will be taught how to identify some of the huge variety of marine life we have in Irish waters. Coupled with this you will be helping preserve these habitats by learning how to map and record your findings which will be recorded by Seasearch in order to identify marine habitats that may be changing and need more protection. At the end of the course you’ll get a Seasearch Qualification booklet. Once you have completed 5 forms for real (two on dives with a tutor present) you will be signed up as a Seasearch Observer!!
