City North Hotel, Dublin
The Irish Underwater Council (CFT) are delighted to announce the 6th Annual International Dive Show at the City North Hotel, Dublin on the 3rd & 4th March.
This year’s show will feature top-line Scuba professionals including key note speaker Rory Golden who, in 2000 became the first Irish diver to visit the site of the shipwreck RMS Titanic returning for a second visit in 2005. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and Rory will be giving a series of talks on his experiences. Also speaking will be Connie Kelleher of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht’s underwater archaeology unit. In 2010 Connie was involved in the discovery of 2 ship wrecks off the Donegal coast that are believed to be linked to the 16th Century Spanish Armada and 18th Century French Armada.
Dive Ireland 2012 will also feature an array of Irish Marine companies and free seminars to cater for a wide range of diver interests. This guarantees a great day out for divers and non-divers alike.
